Skills Development Bootcamp Trains Women for Digital Careers
WESAC Foundation successfully hosted its Digital Skills Development Bootcamp, a hands-on training designed to introduce women to essential digital tools needed in today’s job market.
The bootcamp focused on beginner-friendly, practical skills, including:
- Canva Graphics Design — creating simple flyers, resumes, and social content
- Google Workspace — using Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Gmail efficiently
- Workplace Software — overview of tools used in offices and remote work environments
- Online Safety & Cyber Awareness — protecting personal information online
- Remote Work Opportunities — how to find legitimate online jobs and freelance roles
Participants engaged in real-time practice, guided by facilitators and volunteer mentors, ensuring that even women with no prior computer experience felt confident and supported.
Many attendees shared excitement about applying their new skills to job applications, small business projects, and personal development. WESAC aims to expand this program as demand grows, helping more women access high-quality digital learning and employment opportunities.
