WESAC Hosts Mental Wellness Circle for Trauma Recovery
WESAC Foundation held another powerful edition of its Mental Wellness Circle, an emotional healing session designed for women who have experienced trauma, displacement, emotional distress, or major life transitions.
The circle offered a compassionate and culturally safe space where women could breathe, reconnect with themselves, and receive strength from one another.
What the Session Included
Guided grounding techniques to calm the mind and reconnect to the present moment
Breathing exercises and emotional release practices to reduce stress and anxiety
Open peer-support sharing, allowing women with similar experiences to uplift each other
Access to counselling referrals for those who needed professional mental health support
Tools for recognizing emotional triggers and coping with overwhelming feelings
Participants expressed deep gratitude, saying the session made them feel lighter, supported, and less alone.
Many shared that it was the first time they had a safe space to open up without judgment.
Because of the continued impact, WESAC will now host these Mental Wellness Circles monthly, supporting more women on their healing journey.
