Financial Literacy Workshop Empowers Women Entrepreneurs

The WESAC Foundation recently concluded its Financial Literacy & Micro-Enterprise Workshop, designed to equip women with the practical knowledge needed to build sustainable income and financial independence.

During the workshop, participants were introduced to:

  • Budgeting essentials — understanding income, expenses, and financial planning
  • Pricing strategies — how to price products and services confidently
  • Record-keeping methods — simple tools to track business and household finances
  • Entrepreneurship basics — turning ideas into viable micro-businesses

Women also practiced hands-on exercises using worksheets, calculators, and real-life scenarios to strengthen their financial decision-making skills.

At the end of the session, each participant received:

  • A financial toolkit containing templates, budgeting guides, and small-business worksheets
  • Access to ongoing mentorship through one-on-one check-ins
  • Opportunities to join WESAC’s upcoming enterprise development programs

Many women expressed renewed confidence, saying the program opened their eyes to possibilities they never thought they could explore. The workshop is part of WESAC’s commitment to creating economic empowerment pathways for underserved women.
